JOB SUMMARY:

The Security Front Desk Officer / Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors while ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the premises. This role combines front desk customer service with security oversight and administrative support.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Access Control & Security Management

    • Monitor and control entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.

    • Verify identification and issue visitor badges or temporary access passes.

    • Maintain accurate visitor logs (manual or electronic).

    • Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.

    • Conduct routine security checks of the reception area and surrounding premises.

    • Receive and inspect deliveries and packages when necessary.

    • Issue, track, and control company keys, ID cards, and access credentials.

2. Front Desk & Reception Services

    • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

    • Direct guests to the appropriate office, department, or personnel.

    • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls.

    • Respond to general inquiries about the organization.

    • Schedule appointments and notify staff of visitor arrivals.

    • Handle minor complaints and escalate issues when required.

3. Emergency & Incident Management

    • Act as the first responder during emergencies.

    • Follow company emergency procedures and evacuation protocols.

    • Contact emergency services (police, fire, medical) when necessary.

    • Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, or security breaches immediately.

    • Prepare detailed incident and daily activity reports.

4. Administrative & Record-Keeping Duties

    • Maintain daily security and front desk activity logs.

    • Keep visitor records and documentation organized and up to date.

    • Assist with filing, data entry, and other basic administrative tasks.

    • Coordinate communication between departments when necessary.
