Mason

Job Summary

A mason constructs, repairs, and maintain structures using materials such as bricks, blocks, stone, and concrete. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in masonry work and the ability to deliver high-quality finishes in line with construction standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, and stones according to plans and specifications
• Mix and apply mortar or cement to bind building materials
• Construct walls, foundations, and other structural elements
• Perform plastering, rendering, and finishing of surfaces
• Repair and maintain existing masonry structures
• Read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
• Ensure proper alignment, level, and structural integrity of work
• Operate and maintain masonry tools and equipment
• Follow all health and safety regulations on site

Requirements

• Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience as a mason
• Technical or vocational training in masonry is an asset
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Good physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship
